Meet Tabitha | Founder of Butterfly Effect Consulting

Hey there, beautiful soul — I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Tabitha, the heart behind Butterfly Effect Consulting. I help individuals, groups, and organizations navigate emotional overwhelm and transform it into clarity, confidence, and connection. Whether you're feeling stuck, burned out, or just longing for more alignment in your life, I’m here to walk with you toward healing and empowerment.

I was born in upstate New York but have called College Station, Texas home for most of my life. I grew up in a close-knit Christian household, the oldest of two sisters, and my parents chose to homeschool us through high school. Stepping onto a college campus was a real taste of culture shock—everything felt bigger, louder, and utterly unfamiliar.

My dream back then was Broadway: I started college pursuing a music degree, imagining myself on stage. That summer before freshman year, my high school sweetheart and I broke up, and I was devastated. I’d believed God had laid out our future together, and when that plan crumbled, I began to question whether I could hear His voice at all.

College held more surprises. It’s where I met my now husband and discovered a passion for worship music and church ministry. After college, I enrolled in a school of ministry and said, “I do,” embarking on married life and the pursuit of faith side by side. Throughout my twenties, I followed one adventure after another — roles, projects, and moves trying to figure out where I belong.

About seven years ago, a season of church betrayal and unmet expectations left me feeling broken and alone. I kept telling myself “This is my fault” and “I need to be better,” until finally I sat across from my first therapist, full of fear and hope. That brave step into emotional health work changed everything. I learned it’s okay not to have all the answers, and that change often begins with asking for help.

I’ve spent the last several years training under Justin and Abi Stumvoll, mentors who’ve shaped my approach to inner healing and emotional health consulting. Today, I guide others through their crossroads—those moments when trauma or transition have left them disoriented, unsure of who they are or where to turn next. I believe no one should face that journey alone.

When I’m not consulting, you’ll probably find me sipping a matcha or peppermint mocha at my favorite local coffee shop, playing card games with friends, acting absolutely goofy to get a laugh, or leading worship on the piano.

If you’re ready to reclaim your voice, reconnect with your heart, and rediscover the beauty of who you truly are, let’s connect. I’d love to start this journey with you.

My holistic approach is grounded in three core pillars:
Compassion — because self-rejection keeps us stuck and compassion brings freedom
Nervous system regulation — because true transformation happens when the body feels safe
Empowerment — because wholeness begins when we remember we have a choice and a voice in our lives

“Through asking thoughtful questions and leading me through different exercises, Tabitha has helped me get connected to my internal voice and needs, leading to less anxiety and actually being able to work through the mess of feelings and beliefs my mind was feeling stuck on.”

What is Emotional Health [or Life] Consulting?

Emotional health consulting is the sacred work of coming home to yourself by repairing the relationship with your own heart through compassion, nervous system regulation, and empowered ownership—partnering to uncover the fears and stories that have silenced, shamed, or overwhelmed you.

In our time together, we reconnect you with the parts of yourself that have been waiting to be heard and seen, cultivating emotional regulation and self-compassion so you can step into a more authentic, powerful, and happier life.

No matter what’s happening around you or what’s happened in the past, you always have the power to grow in self-connection; the deeper you understand your emotions, triggers, survival responses, and personal narrative, the more you can move from self-abandonment to self-repair and reclaim the life you deserve.

When you’re connected to yourself:

- You can pause reactive patterns and respond from your truest self.

- Your intuition becomes clearer, guiding you toward healing and growth.

- You’re drawn to relationships that reflect the love and care you were designed for

- You’re able to love others more deeply, without losing yourself in the process.

How We Cultivate Emotional Health Together:

Compassion
We’re wired to heal in relationship, not in isolation. Compassion begins with attunement—being truly seen, heard, and validated. In our sessions, I’ll model kindness and help you build a self-relationship rooted in gentleness rather than criticism. You’ll learn practical tools to steward healing and bring that same compassion into your daily life.

Nervous System Regulation
Healing happens when your body feels safe. Trapped in fight, flight, or freeze, your primal brain can’t process pain or learn new patterns. Together, we’ll practice breathwork, grounding, somatic movement, and visualization exercises that settle your nervous system. This safety lets you face and process hard emotions with more clarity.

Empowered Ownership
Trauma often leaves us feeling powerless and stuck. A vital part of the journey is gently reclaiming your voice and your ability to choose how you show up. Through exploring choices, setting boundaries, and tapping into the safety you’ve cultivated, you’ll step into true empowerment and rediscover your power to shape your life.

Building Healthy, Honest Relationships

As you grow in self-connection, you’ll also learn how to:

  • Communicate your emotions with clarity and confidence

  • Seek understanding instead of assuming or withdrawing

  • Keep short accounts and repair relational ruptures

  • Navigate conflict with courage and compassion

  • Own your part without carrying what isn’t yours

  • See others with nuance and grace

  • Validate your experience without villainizing theirs

This is the kind of relational maturity that transforms not just your inner world—but your outer world too.

While this work is deeply healing, it is not a replacement for clinical therapy. I do not provide treatment for:

- Eating disorders or body dysmorphia

- Self-harm or suicidal ideation

- Addiction recovery

- Marital or premarital counseling

- Clinical diagnoses

- Abuse recovery (sexual, spiritual, physical, or mental)

- Gender dysphoria or sexual orientation exploration

If you’re navigating any of these areas, I’ll always encourage you to seek the support of a licensed therapist or specialist. You deserve care that’s safe, skilled, and specific to your needs.
